Once you have a policy, you will need to set up Guesty to work with your policy. Specifically, you’ll want to consider how you’re setting up your rates and cancellation reasons.
Roam covers rent but it’s important to make sure you property mark up your rent so that you are passing off the cost of Roam to your guests (if that’s the rate strategy you choose).
Therefore, it’s important that you set up your rates with the proper embedded amount (to include Roam’s fee). The actual setup will vary depending on how you set your rates, whether you do it in Guesty or through a dynamic pricing tool.
First, navigate to your “Additional Fees” in Guesty. You can get there by searching “Additional Fees” in the search bar.
Add a new fee and follow the screenshots below.
First, mark the fee so it applies to “to accommodation fare”. Depending on how your accounting with Guesty is setup, you may see an option to “deduct as part of accommodation fare” on this screen. You can select that option if you want to see the Roam fee as part of your guest folio when you’re viewing reservations from the Admin. See Guesty’s article on this here.

After you’ve setup your fee, you will get a screen where you can “Include in fare”. You must select this so that the fee is embedded in the rent rate that the guest sees.
